By using our website, making an enquiry, or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with using our website or engaging our services.

    1. General

1.1. Alpinair.co.uk is a service provided by Alpinair, a trading name located at UNIT 7, MANHATTAN BUSINESS PARK, WEST GATE, LONDON W5 1UP. Our contact telephone is 020 8991 0055 and email is info@alpinair.co.uk.

1.2. We disclaim all liability, including for negligence, for the content of the Alpinair.co.uk website to the maximum extent permitted by law. We have taken care in developing the content on this site and disclaim all warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.

1.3. Your use of this site and any services engaged are governed by English law. Usage will be deemed to have taken place in England and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

1.4. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected.

1.5. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

1.6. Errors and omissions are accepted.

    2. Service & Installation Warranty

2.1. All services, installations, and repairs provided by Alpinair, including any new components supplied and fitted by us as part of these services, are subject to a 12-month guarantee from the date of completion. This guarantee covers defects in our workmanship and, for components supplied by us, against seizure, leakage, corrosion, and fitment issues, provided that correct installation and operating procedures have been followed.

2.2. Our guarantee does not cover: * Consequential loss or damage of any kind, including vehicle recovery, travel expenses, mileage, labour costs for work not performed by us, loss of earnings, or vehicle rental/leasing due to an incapacitated vehicle. * Damage caused by poor fitment, incorrect fitment, removal, misidentified product, or any other work carried out by parties other than Alpinair. * Reasonable wear and tear of components. * Components failing on vehicles that have exceeded 12,000 miles from the fitment date to the replacement/failure date. * Issues arising from components not supplied by Alpinair or where our specified installation procedures have not been followed.

2.3. Should a warranty issue arise (subject to our terms), Alpinair will address it by repairing or replacing the faulty component/work at our discretion. If a replacement component is needed, it must be supplied by Alpinair. We will not be liable for the cost of parts not supplied or approved by us (e.g., replacements sourced from automotive dealerships without our prior knowledge).

2.4. Upon return of any item deemed faulty under warranty (with a copy of the original invoice or invoice number), a credit will be arranged once our full inspection confirms it is a warranted fault. If the item is deemed not faulty (e.g., fault of installation by others, incorrect installation procedures by others, or damage during installation by others), the item will be returned, and no credit will be issued.

2.5. In some cases, it may be necessary to return a failed item to the original manufacturer for investigation. Their decision on the warranty claim will be final.

    3. Compressor Installation & Warranty Procedures

3.1. When a new or replacement compressor is installed by Alpinair, a full system flush must be undertaken, followed by the replacement of the receiver drier/accumulator and the expansion valve/orifice tube.

3.2. At the time of compressor replacement, the system must be thoroughly checked for evidence of why the original unit failed (e.g., fans working correctly, no blockages, correct system cycling intervals, correct oil type/quantity). In certain circumstances, changing the condenser may also be necessary. Failure to adhere to these specified installation procedures will invalidate any warranty.

3.3. For compressor warranty claims, it will be necessary to supply the original invoice stating exactly what work was carried out and which parts were changed. This must also include the vehicle’s mileage at the time of the original compressor change and the current mileage at the time of failure. Failure to provide this information will invalidate the warranty.

3.4. All returned compressors must be returned with the original oil in place and capped. This is vital for us to ascertain why the unit may have failed.

    4. Service Delays

4.1. While we strive for timely service completion, Alpinair is not liable for any consequential loss of earnings, vehicle rental/lease costs, or travel expenses due to delayed or prolonged service completion, especially if caused by unforeseen complications, part availability issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

    5. Payment Policy

5.1. All prices quoted for our services, installations, and repairs are in Pounds Sterling (£UK).

5.2. Payment for services is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5.3. We accept payment by debit card at our workshop or over the phone, and via bank transfer (BACS/CHAPS). We do not currently accept credit cards.

5.4. All prices exclude VAT (where applicable) at the current rates, unless expressly stated otherwise in your quote.
